DECEMBER 2010

I hope that you are winding down with the Christmas holidays not far away.

After an incredibly busy end to 2010 we are looking forward to a few quiet days before we start 2011!

We've had an absolute ball putting together some of Adelaide's best events this year, some of which we highlight in this Newsletter (with more to come in the next edition).

I hope you have a fantastic Christmas and New Years Eve celebration and I look forward to seeing you in 2011.

Cheers

 Kate Abraham

Minter Ellison Client Function

When we were asked by Minter Ellison to create another memorable event for their annual client function, we thought that a 20s-themed event in the Mortlock Chamber of the State Library would be perfect.

And so, the concept of the "Minter Ellison Jazz Club" was born.

Guests arrived to spectacular lighting effects in the Mortlock Chamber, a jazz trio, staff in 20s-themed accessories and a Hennessy Cognac Bar.

We then surprised guests with a 17-piece Big Band on the balcony level of the Mortlock, accompanied by a big, bold performance by singer Libby O'Donovan and dancers in elaborate feather costumes - which provided the ideal introduction for Nigel McBride (Minter Ellison Managing Partner) to provide his welcome speech.

Minter Ellison place a high level of expectation on their annual client event to wow guests and provide an invaluable opportunity for the Minter Ellison team to interact with key clients.

On all accounts, Keito Events exceeded their expectations and the fantastic feedback from clients confirmed the success of this much anticipated annual event.

Adelaide Paspaley Polo In The City

For the second year in a row, Keito Events staged the Adelaide Paspaley Polo in the City event - a unique event which involves polo matches and corporate hospitality, as well as a Paspaley VIP three-course lunch and the iconic Coopers Bar.

This glamorous event was staged in the North Adelaide parklands on 27 November, with Audi, Adelaide Magazine and Bird in Hand among the corporate marquee hosts.

In the Paspaley VIP marquee, guests were treated to a three-course sit down lunch in the lavish Paspaley-themed marquee.

The Coopers Bar provided a relaxed hospitality experience, with the official touring DJ providing the laid back music and sumptuous food provided by Blanco.

The feedback about this event was overwhelming, with guests reporting that it was an incredibly unique client hospitality opportunity.

Media coverage of the event was exceptional and with increasing numbers each year, we anticipate next year's event to be another best-ever. We hope to see you there!

ASC Family Day

Everyone understands just how incredibly important staff are to any business. ASC (Australia's largest, specialised defence shipbuilding organisation) understands just that and so in September they asked us to create a unique experience for all of their staff and families.

Within a 4 week period, Keito Events pulled together a successful Family Day for more than 1,000 guests on behalf of ASC at the production facility.

We ensured all age groups were entertained, organising a combination of family entertainment, double-decker buses to take guests on tours and kids activities.

Attractions included SANFL football activities, a train ride for children, an carnival-style band, face painting, wandering performers, water-themed artwork, jumping castles, bike stunt displays and sideshow games, as well as free ice-cream, fairy floss and popcorn and a community fundraising BBQ.

Keito Events ensured security requirements were adhered to, as well as the smooth running of all logistical elements of the event and set up, working closely with the ASC team.

Employees praised the event and ASC management were thrilled with the event's ability to bring employees together, show appreciation for staff and make the workplace more accessible to employees' families.

Ladies Lunch Under The Wisteria

Keito Events was asked to assist with the staging of the inaugural Ladies Lunch Under The Wisteria in October - a ladies lunch to raise awareness and funds for the Adelaide Botanic Gardens Foundation.

Staged in an idyllic setting under a Wisteria in the Botanic Gardens, guests were treated to divine food by Blanco, music by members of the Adelaide Youth Orchestra and a generous gift bag.

Hosted by Channel 7's Jane Doyle, the event featured a live auction and various fundraising elements, raising money for the Garden of Health, as well as Jacob's Creek Wines and a pamper zone for guests to enjoy after the lunch.

The setting of the lunch resulted in a high impact, memorable event, ensuring that the Botanic Gardens very effectively reached their target audience.
