MARCH 2011

I hope you've had a great 2011 so far.

We kickstarted this year with the Unley Gourmet Gala which is always a fun event for us having event managed it for several years now. I hope you were able to make it.

Since then we have been kept busy with an ongoing event program in the Adelaide Central Market, a street party in Mawson Lakes (to be held this Friday night, 1 April), planning for this year's Advertiser Sunday Mail Foundation events, an alumni event for Gibaran Learning Group in May, featuring Glenn Cooper, and a launch event for Mossop Construction + Interiors. Lots of great events to come!

I hope you enjoy reading about some of our most recent events in this edition of our newsletter.

Look forward to catching up soon.

Ashes Test Dinner

Keito Events was engaged by the South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) to event manage the popular and much anticipated 2010 Ashes Test Match Dinner on the 1st of December.

Overcoming the various logistical challenges of staging a dinner for 1200 guests in a marquee, we worked closely with SACA and key suppliers, including Novatech Creative Event Technology, to successfully stage this prestigious event.

The event commenced with the official opening of the Western Grandstand in the new dining room by The Hon. John Howard, The Hon. Kate Ellis MP, The Hon. Paul Holloway MP and SACA Chairman The Hon. Ian McLachlan.

SACA were thrilled with the outcome of the event, with the audience enjoying the hosting talents of Wayne Phillips, and guest speakers Michael Clarke, Mike Coward, Nasser Hussain, Justin Langer, Geoff Miller and Les Burdett.

Bradman Oration

When SACA began working with Cricket Australia to plan the annual Sir Donald Bradman Oration, to be held in the new Adelaide Oval dining room on the 2nd of December, they enlisted the support and expertise of Keito Events.

The event was held the night after the Test Match Dinner and featured an oration by world-renowned lyricist Sir Tim Rice and a performance by Sir Donald Bradman's Grandaughter Greta Bradman.

Being one of the first events in the new dining room, Keito Events ensured the smooth facilitation of the event for Cricket Australia, assisting with the audio visual and room set up for the event.

SACA were thrilled with the outcome, having staged well-attended and successful events in their new facilities two nights in a row during what is an extremely busy time of year.

Gibaran Learning Group Graduation

The Gibaran Learning Group Graduation is an annual event which involves a momentous ceremony for local and international students of the Group.

Keito Events has been working with the Group to stage this annual event for the past three years at the Adelaide Town Hall, ensuring protocols are adhered to and the ceremony is a positive reflection of the business school and a valuable PR and relationship building opportunity.

We manage all elements of the Graduation, including student and academic briefings, running sheet development, Guest of Honour involvement, venue and catering management, signage, room decor and musicians for during and after the ceremony.

Gibaran Learning Group was once again very pleased with the Graduation event staged for its 2010 graduates - so much so that Keito Events is currently working on the 2011 event and a number of alumni events for past students throughout the year.

Unley Gourmet Gala

Keito Events brought King William Road, Unley, to life once again during the 2011 Santos Tour Down Under.

Spectacular fashion parades, cooking demonstrations by Callum Hann, Simon Bryant and local chefs, bands, DJs, world-renowned bike stunt teams and kids performances and artwork were among the features of the event - not to mention the food and wine showcase by some of Adelaide's best restaurants.

Also featuring a VIP party at Toop & Toop, the event was a resounding success, with Keito Events managing to secure a record level of sponsorship and deliver a safe and logistically smooth event, ensuring significant economic and community benefits to the City of Unley's businesses and residents.
