JUNE 2011

Over the last few months we’ve had a great time putting on some terrific events. We’ve highlighted some of them in this edition of our newsletter, and hope you enjoy reading all about them. 

We are currently in the initial stages of planning many of our large Spring/Summer events, as well as working hard on our ongoing event program at the Adelaide Central Market – if you haven’t recently been to the Market on a Friday night, get yourself down there!

As for upcoming events, we have the Advertiser Sunday Mail Foundation George Gross Harry Who parade on the 29th of July and the Heart Foundation Paint the Town Red Ball at the Hilton on the 20th of August. Opening SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre

Keito Events was engaged to stage manage and provide advice for the official opening of the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre, involving a VIP event and media tour.

Within a very short turnaround time of one week, we were briefed on progress for the official opening plans and successfully advised on and stage managed the official launch on 9 April.

The official opening included speeches by Premier Mike Rann, the Marion Mayor and a swim and interview with Michael Klim.

The event was a great success, with Keito Events working very effectively with the client to ensure an exceptional outcome within a very short timeframe.

Mawson Lakes Street Party

The completion of Mawson Lakes, a $1.6 billion development, was a milestone worthy of a significant celebration for the Mawson Lakes community.

Working with the client Delfin Lend Lease, we created and managed a street party in Mawson Lakes on the 1st of April, managing all event elements and the logistics of the event, from road closures to entertainment and restaurant involvement.

The family-focussed event included paddle boat rides, bouncy castles, face painting, a performance by The Funkees, a band and DJ to follow on the main stage, food and wine stalls, fireworks and community stalls.

Attended by more than 3,000 people, the event was a great success and the perfect way to celebrate the Mawson Lakes development and its community.

Advertiser Sunday Mail Foundation – Wicked the Musical lunch

Our first Advertiser Sunday Mail Foundation event for the year was the Wicked the Musical lunch, featuring performances and interviews with the Wicked cast at the Intercontinental.

We worked closely with our client Angela Condous, the Intercontinental and Staging Connections to stage a showcase of Wicked the Musical.

The event featured performances by the main stars of the musical, as well as an interview with Bert Newton, and a fashion parade and jewellery showcase.

Both the Wicked team and the Advertiser Sunday Mail Foundation (ASMF) were very pleased with the event, with the ASMF raising much needed funds for charity.

Gibaran Learning Group Alumni Event

Following the success of the Gibaran Learning Group alumni event at Toop & Toop headquarters in November last year, Keito Events was engaged to manage their May alumni event for local and distance learning students.

Keito Events secured Glenn Cooper, Executive Chairman of Coopers Brewery, as the guest speaker and selected the renovated Wakefield Hotel function room as the venue for close to 100 guests.

The event was a highly successful relationship building and marketing opportunity for the Group, with Glenn delivering a very entertaining and inspiring address.
