FEBRUARY 2015

At this time of year with the Fringe well underway, I am sure many of you are starting to have some slow-start mornings involving multiple coffees! Mad March is here and it’s great to see Adelaide buzzing.

We kicked off the year with a super busy cycling-oriented January, managing the Unley Gourmet Gala on King William Road in celebration of the Unley Santos Tour Down Under Race Start. We also managed Santos’ activation in the Bike Village in Victoria Square with great success and coordinated family day activities in Elder Park and Torrens Parade Grounds for Stage 6 of the Tour.

In this edition we have featured some of our key events from the end of last year. We were privileged to be able to manage some amazing big birthday celebrations for iconic companies in SA, including Elders 175th dinner and Santos 60 years dinner.

Enjoy this wonderful festival season!

Cheers

Santos 60 Years Dinner

It has been a big year for Santos celebrating their 60th Anniversary! On October 29, we event managed the 60 Years VIP dinner for Santos key stakeholders at Adelaide Oval in the William Magarey Room. The event reflected the 60 years celebration very well, with a unique screen set up, LED light centrepieces, and an animated photo montage displaying both historical and current moments of Santos. Entertainment on the night exceeded guests expectations, we had the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, the Tenors Undercover and DJ Tim Bos.

Elders 175 Years Gala Celebration

It has been a year of milestones for a few of Adelaide’s top businesses and Keito Events was delighted to event manage the Elders 175 Years Gala Dinner. It was a well-balanced event of celebration, reflection, fundraising support to the Royal Flying Doctors and good entertainment.

The evening was hosted by Peter FitzSimons who very fittingly wore his red bandana as the ‘touch of red’ for Elders. Entertainment featured the Three Waiters and Adelaide’s talented band ShortStax. The theming incorporated red and pink room lighting with a white top stage and polished red gum tree plates with acrylic images internally lit by candles as the centrepieces.

The event was held at Adelaide Oval for over 450 guests with grand views of the Adelaide CBD and Elder Park, and their good food and wine was enjoyed by all.

Staff Service Awards – Roxby Downs 2014

57 Films engaged Keito Events in a dynamic partnership to reinvigorate an annual two-night awards ceremony for the hard working employees of one of Australia’s biggest organisations. Guests kicked up their heels and took a well-deserved night off when the auditorium at the Roxby Link in Roxby Downs was transformed into an opulent Cabaret style night club. Emceed by Australian music icon David Campbell and his band, there were also standout performances from violinist Sally Cooper (who has played with Rod Steward, Michael Bublé, Harry Connick Jr and for Beyoncé and Jay-Z) and Adelaide based singer/songwriter Delia Obst.

AIB Alumni Melbourne 2014

On Thursday 2 October Keito Events managed an alumni event for the Australian Institute of Business in Melbourne at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.

This event featured entrepreneur, Ruslan Kogan, of ‘Kogan.com’ who shared his story on building Australia’s biggest online retailer from his parent’s garage with zero external funding or capital. This captivating presentation was followed by valuable networking where guests had the opportunity to speak with Ruslan privately as well as meeting other AIB alumni.

Roger Rasheed Grand Final Breakfast 2014

Keito Events managed the Roger Rasheed Sports Foundation 2014 Adelaide AFL Grand Final Breakfast working closely once again with Roger Rasheed. In its third year the event had attendance of over 300 avid football followers and RRSF supporters, and moved to a new location, the home of Football, Adelaide Oval.

The event covered exclusive grand final day vision, a live video call with RRSF Patron Greg Norman in Florida USA as well as David Koch before the game at Federation Square, video message from Gillon McLachlan, and insights of the game from current and past players of the Port Adelaide Football Club and Adelaide Crows Football Club. This official AFL event was a great success and it is expected to grow bigger again in 2015.

Devine Meadows Country Fair

Keito Events worked with Devine once again on their stall for the Meadows Country Fair, which was held on Sunday the 19th of October.

In preparation for the event, Keito organised the theming, equipment, promotional staff and children’s activities and also attended the event on the day to facilitate the running of the stall, set up and pack down. The children’s activities and seating area were very popular and the stall remained busy throughout the day, meeting the client’s objectives.

Devine More Free Fun Day

On Sunday the 2nd of November Keito Events managed the last Devine event for the year, their “More Free Fun Day”, taking place in Devine’s house and land development area, Orleana Waters. Keito came up with the initial concepts and worked with Devine to create an exciting family friendly event that was well attended by residents, potential home buyers and members of the general public.

As well as the children’s activities at the event, including mini golf, face painting and a jumping castle, a “chill out” area with massages on offer allowed parents to take a bit of time out. An appearance by former Masterchef runner up, Laura Cassai, was also popular with visitors, who could enjoy watching Laura whip up some delicious recipes throughout the day. Overall, the event was an enjoyable day and the team at Keito are excited to already be working on more of Devine’s events in 2015.
