Festive Weekends: Lighting Launch 2022
The Keito team was engaged by the City of Adelaide to assist with the stage management and theming aspect of the Lighting of the Christmas Tree in Victoria Square on Friday 18th November 2022. This annual event is iconic for our city, as it kick-starts an array of Christmas events held by the City of Adelaide throughout the festive season. We were so excited to be involved.
Before the Christmas Tree was lit up, residents, attendees and those passing by, enjoyed live entertainment from Entertainment Adelaide, The Cast, and the Young Adelaide Voices Choir. Adelady hosted the event, and we were joined by an array of roving entertainment from Bamboozled. From walking Christmas crackers and puddings to roller skating Santa’s and Elves, there was always something to see!
We worked on:
// Stage management – we worked with each act to ensure each transition between acts was smooth during the event, as the greenroom was offsite
// Entertainment Management – we engaged the entertainment and facilitated briefings, rehearsal schedules, access plans.
// Event Programming – we worked with the City of Adelaide to program the event in the most effective way, to ensure that the lead up to the lighting of the tree was engaging and exciting for the attendees.
// Event theming – took charge on the stage theming, styling Christmas trees and even a life size cracker, to stay with the City of Adelaide’s ‘Cracker of a Christmas’ theme.
// Supplier management – we worked with various suppliers to ensure the theming was cohesive and effective and worked to a set budget.
// Onsite management – we were onsite for the duration of the event, working the AV team and entertainment to ensure everything ran smoothly.
This was such a fun way for us to kick off the festive season, as well as a busy December of events!
